DRE accessible interface

Accessible voting interface (using the Interactive Voice Control System Model)

Purpose:

- Providing an accessible voting interface for paper based verifiable voting systems
- Integrate with Scantegrity and eTegrity

History:

• June 2009 – August 2009: Initial development
• September 2009: Becomes part of the eTegrity project
• Fall 2010: Forks from eTegrity to become an independent project once again
• January 2011: Printing module gets added
• February 2011: System is evaluated for use in Takoma Park’s municipal election, with Scantegrity
• March 2011: The code is released as an open-source project under GPL

Future work:

- modifiable flowcharts
- adjustable playback speed
